A fabulous Nile Cruise is included
A highlight of this tour is a cruise along the legendary River Nile onboard the latest and most luxurious of ships, the MS Medeaw A 5-star ship fully air-conditioned, luxury two-berth cabins with en suite bathroom, full size bath, shower and toilet. TV with video channels, music system, hair dryer, international phone and mini-bar. Onboard facilities include a plunge pool, fitness equipment, two bars, dancing and folklore entertainment, restaurant and two gift shops.

    Complimentary Transfers
    • Passengers will need to make their way to the meet and greet area where they will be met by a representative holding a TRAFALGAR UNIWORLD sign. Passengers arriving outside the official dates of arrival will need to make their own arrangements or purchase a private transfer.
    • Departure Transfers: Departure Transfers: Flights must depart between 0700 and 1700 on the day that the cruise or the included land package ends in order to receive the ship to airport transfer.     • Day 1- Depart USA Overnight flight to Cairo.


    • Day 2- Arrive Cairo (2 nights) Welcome to Egypt! You are met on arrival at Cairo Airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or to begin to explore this fascinating city.

    • Day 3- Cairo sightseeing This morning on our guided tour we have a highlight visit to the famous Egyptian Museum. Here, among the many thousands of artifacts on display, we see the splendid treasures of Tutankhamun, including his priceless burial mask. Then we drive out to see the Great Pyramids at Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and we see their inscrutable guardian, the enigmatic Sphinx! (Buffet Breakfast)


    • Day 4- Cairo – Aswan – Nile Cruise (3 nights) This morning we are transferred to Cairo Airport to board our flight to Aswan. We visit the High Dam and we travel by motorboat to the Temple of Isis, rising from the waters of the Nile on the island of Philae. At noon we board our Nile cruise ship. In the afternoon we sail in a traditional Nile felucca around Aswan’s Botanical Gardens and view the Aga Khan Mausoleum. (Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

    • Day 5- Nile Cruise: Kom-Ombo – Edfu his morning there is the chance to join an optional excursion by air to see the awe-inspiring temples of Abu Simbel, carved out of the rock by Ramses II and later rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. The incredible facade consists of four colossal statues of the Pharaoh seated on his throne. Later in the afternoon, we sail to Kom-Ombo to visit the Temple dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek, conveniently situated on the riverbank. Then we sail on to Edfu. (Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


    • Day 6- Nile Cruise: Edfu – Luxor This morning we visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus, the Falcon God, possibly the most complete temple to be found in Egypt. We cruise on to Luxor where we visit the ancient Temple, which lies close to the Nile and parallel with the riverbank. King Amenhotep III, who reigned 1390-53 BC, built this beautiful temple and dedicated it to Amon-Re, king of the gods, his consort Mut, and their son Khons. (Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)


    • Day 7- Disembark – Luxor – Cairo We disembark from our cruise ship and we visit the extraordinary Valley of the Kings, burial place of many of the New Kingdom pharaohs including of course, young King Tutankhamun. Then we visit the amazing temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Medinet Habou, which blends into the cliff face, and the Colossi of Memnon, which are the two giant seated figures that are all that remains of the mortuary temple of Amon-Ofis III. Finally we visit the immense Karnak Temple, dedicated to the Sun God, Amon. Here we walk amid the avenues of sphinxes and halls of gigantic columns – bringing to an end an unforgettable day. (Buffet Breakfast)

    • Day 8- Cairo – Alexandria This morning we drive through the desert, making a stop at the Coptic Monasteries at Wadi El Natrun (when open). We skirt the ‘Western Desert’, site of Montgomery’s famous victory over Rommel’s Afrikakorps, before arriving in Alexandria, Egypt’s major port and historically associated with Alexander the Great, Cleopatra and Napoleon. This evening we enjoy dinner in a local restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

    • Day 9- Alexandria sightseeing – Cairo Today our guided city tour introduces us to the history of Alexandria at the National Museum and then we visit the white marble Roman amphitheatre the only one of its kind in Egypt. We also see Pompy’s Pillar, the Kom Elshokafa Catacomb, the layered Roman burial area, and the El Morsi Abu El Abbas Mosque. Later we drive back across the desert to Cairo. (Buffet Breakfast)

    • Day 10 Cairo – USA Time to bid farewell to your Tour Director and new found friends as you are transferred to Cairo Airport for your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
