Airport Transfers
  • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the airport and your London hotel. But when you book your Trafalgar tour and take advantage of our land and air packages, we have included a FREE transfer to and from London’s airports and your Trafalgar London hotel. For passengers who have their own flight arrangements we offer you the opportunity to purchase inexpensive transfers to and from London’s Heathrow – Trafalgar has negotiated special rates for the Dot2Dot transfer from London’s Heathr
  • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
  • For included transfers: Your flights must be booked directly by Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. For chargeable transfers: Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information to Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed.
  • For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked by Trafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to your departure date.
  • Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
  • In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar’s control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled.
  • All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is therefore available for missed transfers, or passengers not using this service.
  • In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works, strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
  • Heathrow Airport: National Express Dot2Dot will pick up and drop off in time to meet all flights to/from London’s Heathrow Airport. For guests arriving at the Dot2Dot desk after 22.00 hrs please make use of the courtesy phone to arrange your transfer to your Trafalgar hotel.
  • Gatwick Airport: Passengers who have booked Trafalgar’s Land and Air packages arriving at London’s Gatwick Airport are provided with a Gatwick Express train voucher. The Gatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London’s Victoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make their way from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel.
  • European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
  • Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar''s Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
  • Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar. Please ask for prices of transfers at the time of booking your extra night accommodation.
  • Land only passengers arriving or departing on the scheduled tour arrival or departure days but whose flights don''t coincide with the listed transfer times below may also book and purchase these transfers.   • Day 4 - London - Amsterdam (2 nights) Greetings from our Tour Director as we drive to Dover to board our ferry to Calais. Then we drive through Belgium to lively Amsterdam. (Continential breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Amsterdam orientation and at leisure Orientation includes the Royal Palace and Dam Square, plus a visit to a diamond-polishing centre. Then to Volendam to learn about the skills of making cheese and clogs! (Buffet breakfast)


  • Day 6 - Amsterdam – Frankfurt First to German Cologne, then we take a scenic Rhine cruise and continue to our hotel.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 7 - Frankfurt – Lake Lucerne (2 nights) First we see Heidelberg Castle, then drive via Strasbourg to lovely lakeside Lucerne. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 9 - Lake Lucerne – Innsbruck We drive west to the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein, then on to Innsbruck where we see the Wilten Basilica and the Hofburg. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 10 - Innsbruck – Salzburg – Vienna (2 nights) Today to Mozart’s Salzburg with so many Sound of Music memories. Then on to Vienna. (Buffet breakfast)

  • Day 11 - Vienna sightseeing and at leisure Today''s morning sightseeing tour highlights the Hofburg, Vienna’s Ringstrasse and City Hall. Then time at leisure. Perhaps take a trip to visit the vast Schönbrunn Palace? (Buffet breakfast)


  • Day 12 - Vienna – Venice (Monastier) (2 nights) South today as we drive via Klagenfurt to the Austrian Riviera. Here we cross the Italian border and travel over the Alps to the Veneto plain and the magical city, Venice. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 13 - Venice orientation and at leisure Today we enjoy a canal cruise to St. Mark’s Square and witness the art of Murano glass-blowing. Then time at leisure.  (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)




  • Day 14 - Venice (Monastier) – Rome (2 nights) We cross the flat plains before traversing the Apennine Mountains to reach Tuscany. Then we continue southwards to the ancient city of Rome. (Buffet breakfast)

  • Day 15 - Rome sightseeing and at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour features St. Peter''s Basilica as well as views of the Forum and Colosseum. Then time at leisure to perhaps head to the Sistine Chapel. (Buffet breakfast)


  • Day 16 - Rome – Florence – Montecatini Today we’re off to Florence with time to explore or shop for high quality leather or gold, before continuing to the spa town of Montecatini. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 17 - Montecatini – Pisa – Nice (2 nights) This morning our first stop is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then via the coast to the French Riviera and a visit to Monaco en route to bustling Nice. (Buffet breakfast)

  • Day 18 - Nice orientation and at leisure. We see Place Massena and the Promenade des Anglais. Then time to relax or maybe take a swim in the Mediterranean? (Buffet breakfast)


  • Day 19 - Nice - Barcelona (2 nights) We follow the coast and journey through the Camargue on to the Pyrenees and Barcelona. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 20 - Barcelona sightseeing and at Leisure Our sightseeing includes Christopher Columbus’ statue and the Paseo de Gracia. Later, time at leisure to explore. (Buffet breakfast)


  • Day 21 - Barcelona - Madrid (2 nights) We drive past Montserrat, the vineyards of Catalonia, the Aragon hills and on to Madrid. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 23 - Madrid - Lourdes North to Lourdes, home of St. Bernadette, where we see the basilica above the grotto. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
