Day 1 - Arrive Honolulu (4 nights)
Aloha and welcome to Hawaii! On arrival at Honolulu InternationalAirport, you will be greeted with a traditional fresh flower leiand transferred to your hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Day 2 - Oahu sightseeing & at leisure
Start the day with a private gathering with your fellow travelersand Tour Director and learn about the Hawaiian Islands and yourvacation. Next, explore Oahu''s natural bounty, from lush emeraldgreen rainforests to crystal clear, turquoise bays fringed bygolden sand beaches, from pineapple fields to sweeping panoramicisland vistas. Back in Waikiki, the rest of the day is yours toenjoy as you please. (Full breakfast)
Day 3 - Honolulu at leisure
A full day at leisure to pursue your own interests. Relax on thebeach, by the hotel swimming pool, or explore further. Popularactivities include an optional excursion to the "Garden Isle" ofKauai or perhaps some early souvenir shopping at Waikiki''sInternational Market Place. With over 130 carts, shops and artisanstands, this openair setting, in the heart of Waikiki, remains amust-see-and-do for that special gift or souvenir. Day 4 - Pearl Harbor & Honolulu sightseeing
This morning, journey to Pearl Harbor to visit the USS ArizonaMemorial and honor those still entombed on board the ship, killedduring the attack on Pearl Harbor. Then continue to the NationalMemorial Cemetery in Punchbowl Crater and then travel to Honolulu''sdowntown to view Hawaii''s imposing State Capitol and beautifulIolani Palace, the only official residence of royalty on Americansoil. You''ll also learn how the precious corals of the HawaiianIslands are crafted and transformed into beautiful adornments at alocal coral jewelry workshop. Day 5 - Oahu - Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Kona (2 nights)
Fly to Hilo on the island of Hawaii, and travel to Hawaii VolcanoesNational Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Mauna Loa,the most massive volcano on earth, and Kilauea, the world''s mostactive volcano producing rivers of fiery lava. After a HighlightLunch at the Volcano House, visit the Jaggar Museum and learn ofthe explosive beginnings of the Hawaiian Islands millenniums past,and walk through an actual lava tube. 5 or more – Save 5%: If a group of 5-8 people travels together, a discount of 5% per person applies to the LAND-only portion of your tour. So it pays to get together with your family and friends!
9 or more: If 9 or more people travel together, we offer attractive group discounts based on how many people travel. In a group of 9 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for a 50% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.
Please note: Space is limited to one group per motorcoach. These discounts are not combinable with our Travel Club Discount, any other rooming, young traveller or triple room discounts, and do not apply to our City Breaks, Greek Tours with Mediterranean cruises, Egypt, Israel, and extra night accommodation. Share a Room and Save!
When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
