This morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes many majorsights then the remainder of the day is at leisure toexplore. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - London - Stratford - Coventry - York
We drive through the scenic Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon tovisit Shakespeare''s birthplace and see Anne Hathaway''s thatchedcottage. Then to Coventry, where we will view both the old and newcathedrals. Later we continue to York where our Tour Director willtake us on a walking tour along the narrow cobbled streets. Tonightwe will enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner with our Tour Director andfellow travelers. (Continental breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Hotel 53 / Holiday Inn
Day 5 - York - Northumberland - Edinburgh (2 nights)
This morning our drive through the Northumberland National Parktakes us for a stop at a section of Hadrian''s Wall. Then intoScotland and through the borders to the ruins of Jedburgh Abbey.Soon we reach Edinburgh. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Novotel
Day 6 - Edinburgh sightseeing and at leisure
Our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide includes theelegant New Town, Princes Street, the Royal Mile, views of HolyroodHouse and Arthur''s Seat and a guided visit of the apartments insideEdinburgh Castle. During the Festival, we include tickets to thespectacular Edinburgh Tattoo. Tonight, there''s a chance to enjoy atraditional Scottish night out with haggis, dancing and bagpipes!(Full breakfast)
Day 7 - Edinburgh - St. Andrews - Scottish Highlands
We drive across the magnificent Forth Bridge to St. Andrews and itscelebrated golf course and ancient university. We stop at the 18thhole before crossing the Tay at Dundee and continuing via Perth tocharming Pitlochry, famous for excellent salmon fishing. Thenthrough the heather-clad heart of the Scottish highlands and pastBlair Castle, ancestral home of the Dukes of Athol, to our friendlyhotel in Laggan for dinner this evening. Day 8 - Scottish Highlands - Loch Ness - Isle of Skye
First to the famous battle site of Culloden and then on toScotland''s most famous loch, Loch Ness. We take in the breathtakingscenery whilst looking out for the monster, and stop to takestunning photographs. Then to the Kyle of Lochalsh where we crossthe sea to Skye! This afternoon there is an opportunity to see thescenery of the Trotternish Peninsula before we enjoy dinner in ourhotel. (Full breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Dunollie
Day 9 - Isle of Skye - Loch Lomond - Glasgow
First to Fort William to see the ''Vale of Weeping'' at Glencoe, siteof the famous massacre by the Campbell clan. Then throughScotland''s finest scenery to Loch Lomond and down to Glasgow, whereon arrival we will enjoy an orientation tour including GeorgeSquare, the cathedral and the River Clyde. But, as well, we willdiscover a Hidden Treasure that this city has to offer! Thisevening, we enjoy Scottish hospitality at our Highlight Dinner in alocal restaurant, before going to our hotel. Day 10 - Glasgow - Lake District - Liverpool
South to the English border to Gretna Green where eloping coupleswould marry against their parents'' wishes. Then through the EnglishLake District to Grasmere, where Wordsworth is buried, and alongthe shores of Lake Windermere. Finally to Chester, where a walkingtour with our Tour Director will include the galleried ''Rows''before we continue to our Liverpool hotel. (Full breakfast /Dinner) Hotel: Jurys Inn
Day 11 - Liverpool - Dublin (2 nights)
We drive along the North Wales coast to the Island of Angleseystopping at the Welsh railway station with the longest name in theworld, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwlllantysiliogogogoch.Then to Holyhead for our ferry to Dublin.(Full breakfast) Hotel: Maldron Cardiff Lane
Day 12 - Dublin sightseeing and at leisure
With a local guide our sightseeing comprises a visit to TrinityCollege where we will see the beautiful Book of Kells, and we seeSt. Patrick''s Cathedral and Phoenix Park. The rest of your day isat leisure and tonight, why not join your traveling companions foran evening of Irish entertainment at a cabaret? (Full breakfast)
Day 13 - Dublin - Galway - Limerick
We travel to the West coast and cross the mighty Shannon River aswe drive past Athlone and Ballinasloe on our way to Galway Bay. Wedrive on to Limerick where we will have the chance to visitBunratty Castle and folk park. Tonight why not try out an Irishceildh? (Full breakfast) Hotel: Radisson SAS
Day 14 - Limerick - Ring of Kerry - Killarney/Kenmare
Today we experience Ireland''s most scenic coastal drive, around theRing of Kerry, County Kerry''s largest peninsula, where its variedlandscape is truly a photographer''s delight. Finally, late in theafternoon, we arrive at our hotel. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Killarney Towers / Kenmare Bay
Day 15 - Killarney/Kenmare - Waterford
This morning we drive over the Cork and Kerry Mountains to BlarneyCastle where we will enjoy an included visit and have the chance tokiss the famous stone and acquire the ''gift of the gab''. Then toWaterford where we visit the Waterford Crystal Showroom. (Fullbreakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Days Hotel
Day 16 - Waterford - Cardiff
We drive to Rosslare to board our ferry and cruise across the IrishSea. On arrival in Pembroke, where Henry VII of the Tudors wasborn, we will start our journey across Wales to Cardiff, the Welshcapital, where we will view the famous castle before we head to ourhotel. Day 17 - Cardiff - Bath - Plymouth (2 nights)
We cross the Severn Bridge into England and drive to historic Bathwhere an orientation includes a visit to the Roman Baths. Next wedrive to King Arthur''s Glastonbury to see the site of his legendarytomb. Then we stop for a delicious cream tea with scones and creambefore continuing to Plymouth. Day 18 - St. Michael''s Mount and St. Ives excursion
Today we drive west to the area of Penzance for views of St.Michaels Mount. Day 19 - Plymouth - Salisbury - London

9 or more: If 9 or more people travel together, we offer attractive group discounts based on how many people travel. In a group of 9 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for a 50% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.

When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group.
