Day 3 - Cairo - Pyramid excursion - Overnight train
Today is full of amazing highlights. First we will drive to Memphiswhere we see the limestone Colossus of Ramses II and the giantAlabaster Sphinx. Then we continue to Sakkara where the StepPyramid heralded the start of the Pyramid Age. From here prepareyourself for a breathtaking experience as we marvel at one of theseven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Giza, andthe Sphinx, which casts its enigmatic gaze across the sands of thedesert. Later we board the overnight train which will take us southto the city of Aswan. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4 - Aswan - Nile Cruise (3 nights)
This morning we explore the High Dam and Granite Quarries where wesee the massive unfinished obelisk. Then by motorboat to the Islandof Philae to visit the Temple of Isis. This afternoon we take amemorable felucca ride across the Nile to see the Botanical Gardenson Kitchener''s Island. The felucca is the traditional craft ofEgyptians who have sailed in them down the centuries. Day 5 - Nile Cruise: Kom-Ombo - Edfu
This morning there is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take anoptional excursion by air to the mighty Sun Temple of Abu Simbel,flanked by four giant stone statues of Ramses II. This afternoon weleave Aswan as we sail to Kom Ombu. We visit the roofless Temple ofKom Ombu, which was built for the falcon and crocodile gods. Laterwe enjoy dinner onboard our Nile cruise ship.(Breakfast / Lunch /Dinner)

Day 6 - Nile Cruise: Edfu
This morning in Edfu we visit Egypt''s best preserved cult temple,which was dedicated to the falcon God Horus. Then we cruise on toLuxor where we visit the grand Temple of Luxor, which dominates thetown and was built by King Amenhotep III in 1414 BC. (Breakfast /Lunch / Dinner)

Day 7 - Disembark - Luxor
First we visit the West Bank and the Valley of the Kings where theNew Kingdom pharaohs were buried in dramatically shafted tombsbuilt into the hillsides. Next we visit the breathtaking Deirel-Bahri, Queen Hatshepsut''s impressive temple and the giganticstatues of Memnon Collossi. (Breakfast) Hotel: Nile Palace

Day 8 - Luxor - Cairo (2 nights)

Day 9 - Cairo sightseeing
