Day 3 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure
Today''s sightseeing, with our local guide, includes a visit to St.Peter''s Basilica. We then cross the River Tiber where we overlookthe Forum and see the mighty Colosseum and the Circus Maximus.Then time at leisure to relax or explore. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 4 - Rome - Venice
We head north this morning from Rome following the valley of theRiver Tiber. Then we enter Umbria and see the impressive hilltoptowns of Orte and Orvieto, before entering Tuscany. Here we see theChianti vineyards and the terraced olive groves before crossingthrough the forested Apennine hills. We pass Bologna and reach theflat Veneto plains and continue to our hotel where we dine tonight.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: B4 Venezia - Mestre

Day 5 - Venice sightseeing - Milan
This morning our canal cruise takes us to St. Mark''s Square wherewe see the renowned Bridge of Sighs and the impressive Doge''sPalace. Then our Tour Director shows us one of the Hidden Treasuresof Venice before we visit a glass-blowing workshop. Then we headfor Milan where we see the impressive Cathedral and the Galleria.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Grand Hotel Brun

Day 6 - Milan - Lucerne
Today we take the scenic Gotthard route into Switzerland and on toLucerne. On arrival we will visit the poignant Lion Monument andhave time to walk along the wooden Chapel Bridge. Day 7 - Lucerne - Paris (2 nights)
We travel north today to the city of Basel at the border betweenSwitzerland and France, which we enter this morning. We pass thefortified town of Belfort, stop to view the extensive vineyards atSavigny-Lès-Beaune, and drive through rich farmland beforeeventually arriving in the glittering capital city, Paris. Day 8 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure
Our morning sightseeing tour with a local guide includes views ofNotre Dame Cathedral, the Champs Élysées and the Arc deTriomphe. Then we will ascend the Eiffel Tower to the second levelfor wonderful views of the whole of the city. Then free timeor maybe take an excursion to the Palace of Versailles.
