- For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked byTrafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to yourdeparture date.

TheGatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London''sVictoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make theirway from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel.
- European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengerswill receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on thescheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the timesspecified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves yourflight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.

Day 1 - Depart USA
Overnight flight to Istanbul.
Day 2 - Arrive Istanbul (2 nights)

Day 3 - Istanbul sightseeing
Our full day starts with a visit to the impressive Topkapi Palace,which has a superb position overlooking the Bosphorus. Then to themagnificent St. Sophia''s Basilica built originally by Constantinethe Great. After lunch, visit the fascinating and impressive BlueMosque, famous for its six minarets and beautiful blue Iznik tiles.Then visit the Byzantine Hippodrome where chariot races andcompetitive athletic events took place. Finally we visit the famousvast and bustling Grand Bazaar. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale
We depart for Gallipoli and visit the poignant sites of thebattlefields where many of the fiercest battles of World War I tookplace including Anzac Cove. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Kolin
Day 5 - Canakkale - Troy - Pergamon - Izmir
We visit the legendary city of Troy, immortalised by Homer in thestories of King Priamus, Hector, Paris and the beautiful Helen. Wesee the archaeological excavations that have revealed nine separateperiods of settlement and, of course, we see the symbolic replicawooden Trojan horse that commemorates the epic war machine that wasconstructed in the 13th century BC. Then we stop at the ancientkingdom of Pergamon where we visit the Acropolis, the Temple ofAthena and the famous library. Then we continue on to ourhotel. Day 6 - Izmir - Ephesus - Virgin Mary''s House - Pamukkale
First to the ancient city of Ephesus where our walking tourincludes the Great Theater, which was built by the Romans between41 and 117 AD and is still used today, the Temple of Hadrian,guarded by a head of Medusa, and the House of the Virgin Mary. Thenon to Pamukkale where you can relax and enjoy the blissful thermalpools at our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Pam Thermal Hotel
Day 7 - Pamukkale - Hierapolis - Bursa
After breakfast we will drive to Pamukkale, famous for itschalk-white array of fantastically shaped limestone. We visit theancient ruins of Hierapolis, then continue north to the city ofBursa. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Thermal Kervansaray
Day 8 - Bursa - Istanbul

Day 9 - Embark in the afternoon

Day 12 - Patmos - Kusadasi
An early morning arrival at Patmos with time for an excursion tothe Fortress-Monastery. Then on to Turkish Kusadasi arrivingmidafternoon. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 13 - Rhodes
An early morning arrival at Rhodes, with time to explore the oldtown and Lindos. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 14 - Agios Nikolaos - Santorini

Day 15 - Disembarkation - Athens (2 nights)

In a group of 9 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for a 50% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.

When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
