Day 2 - Calgary - Icefields Parkway - Columbia Icefield - Jasper (2nights)

This is definitely a case of getting there is half - ormore - the fun. One of the most stupendous highlights of thejourney is the Columbia Icefield, the largest reservoir of ice andsnow in the Rocky Mountains. Day 3 - Jasper National Park sightseeing & at leisure

Whichever river experience youchoose, you''ll marvel at the magnificent landscapes of JasperNational Park. The choice is yours this afternoon too, as you''llenjoy time to spend as you please. Optional activities include acruise on the pristine Maligne Lake or a guided alpine walk amidthe beauty of Mount Edith Cavell. This evening, keep an eye out forbear, bull elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, deer, coyotes,beaver, moose and birds, as you make your way to Miette Hot Springson a guided wildlife search. There''s hardly a better way toconclude your evening than with a relaxing soak in the wonderfulhot springs, home to not only the hottest waters in the Rockies,but also some of the world''s most magnificent views. Day 4 - Jasper - Lake Louise - Moraine Lake - Banff National Park(3 nights)
You''ve seen those pictures of gorgeous lakes in the foreground,snowcapped mountains in the background, and wished you werethere... Well, you''re about to actually be there as you travel toBanff National Park and Lake Louise. Another UNESCO World HeritageSite, the park and its surroundings are studded with the jewels ofthe Rockies - hanging glaciers, pounding waterfalls, surging riversand fantastic lakes framed by soaring, snowcapped peaks. The bestseat in the house has been reserved just for you as you savor apicnic lunch on the shores of Lake Louise. Afterward, step into acanoe and glide along the lake or join a guided hike along theshore. Then discover the "other lake," Moraine Lake. This littlelake may often play second fiddle to Lake Louise, but you''ll soonsee that Moraine is every bit as beautiful as Louise, boastingsapphire waters and a gorgeous mountainous backdrop. This is yourchance to take your own pictures from the crest of the RockpileTrail, a spot showcasing picture-postcard views of the lake and theValley of the Ten Peaks. Day 5 - Banff sighseeing & at leisure

Play a game of "what shapeis it" as you spy the whimsical hoodoos that overlook Bow Valley. Asurprise guest is also on the roster for today! Then strike out onyour own with an optional helicopter flight over Mount Assiniboineor a guided hike through Sunshine Meadows. Tonight, put on yourcowboy boots and Stetsons and saddle up for a horseback ride alongthe Sundance Canyon trail. Then try your hand at roping orchallenge friends and family to a game of horseshoes! Day 6 - Banff sightseeing & at leisure

Day 7 - Banff - Depart Calgary
Descend from the glorious Canadian Rockies and stop at Calgary''sCanada Olympic Park, site of the 1988 Winter Olympics. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.

When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
