- Important - Please Note Passengers will only beentitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing thefollowing conditions are met:
- For included transfers: Your flights must be booked directly byTrafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. For chargeabletransfers: Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight informationto Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Oncetransfers are booked they cannot be changed.
- For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked byTrafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to yourdeparture date.
- Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
- In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar''s control, thetransfers will be deemed to be cancelled.

TheGatwick Express train journey from Gatwick Airport to London''sVictoria Station takes 30 minutes. Guests then need to make theirway from Victoria Station to their Trafalgar hotel.
- European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengerswill receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on thescheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the timesspecified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves yourflight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.

Day 1 - Depart USA

Day 2 - Arrive Madrid (2 nights)
Welcome to Madrid, Spain''s capital city. After checking into yourhotel, time to relax. Later you will meet with your Tour Directorand fellow travelers before an evening at leisure where you candecide whether to join the group in an evening tour of the city andperhaps enjoy ''tapas'' in a café on the old Plaza Mayor orsimply relax at your hotel.Hotel: Novotel Puente de la Paz
Day 3 - Madrid sightseeing and at leisure
This morning on our sightseeing tour with a local guide we will seethe main highlights of this buzzing city, including the Cibelesfountain, the Gran Via, Paseo de la Castellana, Puerta del Sol andPlaza de España with its monument to Cervantes. Later perhapsvisit the famous Prado Museum famous for its Velazquez paintings ortake an excursion to El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Thisevening why not participate in Madrileno nightlife - dining is lateand people stay out till 4am enjoying the open-air cafés andvibrant restaurants. (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Madrid - Toledo - Seville (2 nights)
Our first stop today is in the ancient capital of Castile - themedieval city of Toledo. We will visit this traffic free city onfoot, with a local guide who will take us through the quaintstreets to the Jewish synagogue to see the El Greco masterpiece inthe Chapel of Santo Tomé. We will also visit a damasceneworkshop and see how this fine art is executed. We continue southto Puerto Lapice where Don Quixote is reputedly said to have beendubbed knight by a local innkeeper. The plains of La Mancha giveway to the hills of Andalusia with its whitewashed villages andchurches and to the city of Seville, straddling the RiverGuadalquivir. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at our hotel. (Buffetbreakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Vertice Aljarafe
Day 5 - Seville sightseeing and at leisure
Our local city expert takes us in hand today to show us the greatmonuments and sights of this lovely city. First we will drivethrough the Maria Luisa Park with its cool pools and fountains. Thepavilions constructed for the Hispano-American exhibition at thebeginning of the 20th century are still as impressive today as theywere in the 1930s. We will see the mighty cathedral and theozarabic Tower of La Giralda and visit some of the delightfulpatios adorned with pots of geraniums and bougainvilleas. Perhapsvisit the famous bull ring associated with Bizet''s Carmen or takea horse and carriage ride through the city? Tonight, why notexperience a little Spanish passion at a fiery Flamencoshow? Day 6 - Seville - Granada
This morning we leave the exquisite capital of Andalusia, Seville,and enjoy a beautiful drive through gleaming white villages andbrilliant fields of golden sunflowers to Granada, capital of theMoorish Kingdom of Spain until the Moors'' defeat in 1492.Orientation shows us the Albaicin quarter and its stunningarchitecture and we have the time, subject to availability, tovisit the stunning Alhambra Palace and gardens. The Palace is acomplex of magnificent buildings begun by the Moorsand built over the centuries. Highlights are the famous LionCourt as well as the exotic water gardens of the Generalife, theroyal summer residence, where you have fine views over thetown. Day 7 - Granada - Valencia
Today a scenic drive takes us over the Mora Pass and through thesuperb scenery of the Sierra Nevada where we see the unusualTroglodyte dwellings in Guadix. We have time to take picturesbefore continuing through the lemon groves of Murcia and the palmtree forests of Elche to arrive in Valencia, renowned for itsorange groves, where orientation shows us the bull ring, the greatcathedral and the Towers of Serrano and Quart. Later we continue toour hotel where we have dinner together tonight. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)Hotel: Husa Mas Camarena
Day 8 - Valencia - Barcelona (2 nights)
This morning we drive through the Levant region and make our firststop on the coast at Peñiscola. Here we see the ancient castleof the "Spanish Pope," that was used in the film El Cid. Wecontinue along the Costa Dorada to the vibrant city of Barcelona.On arrival we will enjoy a guided sightseeing tour which shows usGaudi''s famed Sagrada Familia Church and the Plaza Catalunya pluswe take a walk through the Gothic quarter where we see themagnificent cathedral and the lively Ramblas. Day 9 - Barcelona at leisure
Today is at leisure to explore this fascinating city. Maybe shop inthe chic boutiques along Paseo de Gracia Street or take anexcursion to the rocky mountains of Monsterrat and its perchedmonastery to see the Black Madonna. This evening maybe join yourTour Director and newfound friends for a special Catalanstyledinner together to celebrate the end of our tour? (Buffetbreakfast)
Day 10 - Barcelona - USA
This morning it is time for final goodbyes to Spain, your TourDirector and your fellow travelers as your memorable Spanish tourcomes to an end. There is a transfer available to BarcelonaAirport, conditions apply. (Buffet breakfast)

9 or more: If 9 or more people travel together, we offer attractive group discounts based on how many people travel. In a group of 9 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for a 50% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.

When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
