Day 4 - London - Liverpool
Greetings from your Tour Director as we travel northwards fromLondon into Staffordshire, known as the Potteries, because it is acentre for ceramic pottery manufacture. Later we arrive in themedieval city of Chester where we will see the ancient city wallsand the 13th century black and white galleried ''Rows'', which areshopping arcades today. Then we continue to our hotel for a WelcomeDrink and dinner. (Continental breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Jurys Inn

Day 5 - Liverpool - Edinburgh
This morning we drive through the Lake District along the shores ofLake Windermere, through scenery reminiscent of WilliamWordsworth''s magical poetry, to Grasmere where the poet is buriedin the village churchyard. Later we arrive at the Scottish borderat Gretna Green, where traditionally young couples would elopeagainst their parents'' wishes in order to marry in a ceremonyperformed across the blacksmith''s anvil. Soon we reach the capital,Edinburgh, and our hotel. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Jurys Inn

Day 6 - Edinburgh - Darlington
Today our guided sightseeing tour shows us Princes Street with itselegant shops, dominated by the imposing castle, the Royal Mile,views of Holyrood House and Arthur''s Seat. Then we visit the NewTown with its beautiful Georgian architecture, see the new ScottishParliament buildings and enjoy a guided visit of the apartmentsinside Edinburgh Castle. Later we head south crossing theborderlands, and see the ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Then we drivethrough the Northumberland National Park to see remnants ofHadrian''s Wall before we arrive in our hotel, where we enjoy aFarewell Dinner tonight. Day 7 - Darlington - London
First to York, where we enjoy a walking tour including the citywalls, the ''Shambles'' and a Hidden Treasure! We drive to Coventryand see the ruins of the old cathedral, destroyed during World WarII, and the new modern post war cathedral. Then we continue toStratford-upon-Avon, the hometown of William Shakespeare. Finallywe take a scenic drive through the Cotswolds countryside and theChilterns back to London, where our tour comes to ane end. (Fullbreakfast) Hotel: Millennium & Copthorne Chelsea

Day 8 - London - USA
