Day 3 - Jackson - Grand Teton National Park - Yellowstone NationalPark (2 nights)

Day 4 - Yellowstone National Park sightseeing
Early morning is the best time to spy on some of the shy creaturesthat inhabit the forest. On a morning Park Ranger-led wildlifewalk, search for the more than 60 species of mammals includingbear, beaver, bison, marmot, elk and moose, as well as 200 speciesof birds. Later on, discover Yellowstone''s most amazing naturalwonders, including the thundering Yellowstone Falls, a multitude ofhot gushing geysers, as well as an otherworldly collection ofbrilliantly colored simmering thermal springs, bubbling mud pools,hissing steam vents… Your senses will be assaulted by theroar of steam, the thunder of a waterfall, the bellowing of bison,the smell of sulfur pools and awe-inspiring views at every turn -sights and sounds that make for an experience you''ll be talkingabout for years. Day 5 - Yellowstone - Cody - The Ranch At Ucross
Travel down, down, down into the Shoshone Canyon and the ruggedAbsaroka Mountains until you reach the rustic Wild West town ofCody, named after Buffalo Bill Cody. Explore the Buffalo BillHistorical Center and the world''s largest collection of westernartifacts. This afternoon, enjoy stunning scenery as you cross theBig Horn Mountains and Bighorn National Forest. Then get ready fora taste of the true Wild West and cowboy lifestyle as you arrive atthe Ranch at Ucross in Clearmont, an old-west working dude ranchlocated in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains. Your time on theranch is sure to be one of the highlights of your Wild Westadventure! This evening, when the dinner bell calls all hands tochow, put on your finest cowboy duds and kick up your heels at atypical ranch-style Highlight Dinner. Day 6 - The Ranch At Ucross - Deadwood - Keystone (2 nights)

Saddle up for a horseback ride through thesage-covered hills. See how far you can cast that fishing line tocatch Brown or Rainbow Trout in Piney Creek. Challenge yourtraveling mates to a game of tennis or horseshoes… withbragging rights for the rest of the trip at stake! Or simply relaxpoolside and take in the serenity of this wonderful resort. Earlyafternoon, re-board the motorcoach and head east through thenational grassland to the famous Black Hills of South Dakota. Day 7 - Keystone & Black Hills excursion
The first stop this morning is Bear Country USA, a wildlife parkfeaturing the world''s largest private collection of American BlackBear. Enjoy a leisurely drive through this spectacular and uniquewildlife park and then walk through the Wildlife Center, whereyoung and smaller animals frolic in their outdoor exhibits. Next,visit Mount Rushmore National Park. You may have seen pictures ofMount Rushmore, but they pale in comparison to seeing this majesticsite in person. It took 400 artisans 14 years to carve the 60-footsculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincolnand Theodore Roosevelt out of the mountain. Then it''s… AllAboard! Ride onboard the 1880 Train, an authentic steam enginetrain, from Hill City back to Keystone. Hear the bellow of theengine and the whine of the whistle as you wind your way throughsome of the most beautiful scenery in the Black Hills. At the HolyTerror Mini Golf, sign up for a miniature golf tournament! Namedafter the last active gold mine in Keystone, the course will haveyou screaming "mulligan" as you putt around gold-flecked boulders,up steep hills, down through the mine slew and around the waterwheel and bubbling stream. Day 8 - Keystone - Depart Denver
Follow the trail to old Fort Laramie, the best-known milepost onthe Oregon Trail, where you can still see 150-year-old wagon wheelruts cut deep into the soil by thousands of pioneers heading West.At the fort''s living history exhibits, gain a deeper understandingof the harsh and often unforgiving world of the pioneer family asthey fought distance, unforgiving terrain and weather to reachOregon… and the native tribes who gave their lives trying toprevent it. Your Wild West adventure comes to an end at the MileHigh city of Denver where stops are made at Denver InternationalAirport or, if you''re extending your stay, at the tour hotel in theheart of Downtown Denver. 9 or more: If 9 or more people travel together, we offer attractive group discounts based on how many people travel. In a group of 9 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for a 50% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour. In a group of 16 passengers, 1 traveller qualifies for 100% discount off the LAND-only portion of the tour.

Share a Room and Save!

When travelling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a ‘two-bedded’ basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
